Equip is a Ministry Training
Institute sponsored by New Hope Chapel of Plymouth. Our vision
is to holistically equip 1,000 people to passionately follow
the heart of Jesus Christ and be led by the Spirit as they
embrace their unique, God-given purpose and ministry. This
vision has been on the heart of the leaders of New Hope Chapel
for several years. After much prayer and planning Equip was
launched in early 2008.
Equip offers
10-week courses in disciplines such as spiritual formation,
biblical studies, theology, and practical ministry skills
that will holistically prepare you for a lifetime of ministry.
Equip is sponsored by New Hope Chapel of Plymouth, with weekly
sessions taught by trained staff on weeknights at our ministry
center. There is a $20 application fee, and tuition is $150
per course.

Core Courses
Equip begins with a set of ten core courses that can be completed
over about a 2-year period. These courses include:

New Testament Survey
The Life of Christ
Theology
Systematic Theology
History
History of the Church
Disciplemaking
Intentional Disciplemaking
Equipped for Ministry
Advanced Tracks
At the completion of the core curriculum, students will be
guided in selecting an appropriate track, where they will
learn specific principles & practices that will enable
them to excel in their ministry. These tracks include:
Ministry Specialization Track, a short,
focused track for students who will serve in a specific ministry
that aligns with their gifting and current/future ministry
roles.
Ministry Leadership Track, a one year program
for
students who will lead a ministry.
Pastoral Ministry Track, a 2-3 year program for students
called to be pastors.
